Association between heat stress and oxidative stress in poultry; mitochondrial dysfunction and dietary interventions with phytochemicals
Dear colleagues,
This article explains in detail why heat stress through mitochondrial failure produces oxidative stress in broilers, this fact explains why the use of phytogenic antioxidants alleviates the problem. From my point of view if we combine an antioxidant nutritional strategy with a strategy focused on heat stress, such as the use of betaine, we will take the first step to have a correct approach to the problem.
