Association between heat stress and oxidative stress in poultry; mitochondrial dysfunction and dietary interventions with phytochemicals

Dear colleagues,
This article explains in detail why heat stress through mitochondrial dysfunction causes oxidative stress in broiler chickens, which explains why the use of phytogenic antioxidants alleviates the problem.
From my point of view, if we combine an antioxidant nutritional strategy with a strategy focused on heat stress, such as the use of betaine, we will be taking the first step towards addressing the problem correctly.
