Maslinic acid as a feed additive to stimulate growth and hepatic protein turnover rates in rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss)

Dear colleagues,
Some of you have asked for examples of phytogenic additives in aquatic nutrition, so I have chosen an example related to salmonids (rainbow trout) and one of the many phytogenic molecules that can be found in an emblematic Mediterranean tree, the olive tree. Specifically, I have chosen oleanolic acid, a molecule less well known than hydroxytyrosol that could clearly improve growth and hepatic protein synthesis in trout… there is still much work to be done with phytogenics in the nutrition of aquatic species!
