Liquid dairy supplements for piglets

Dear colleagues,
A common problem in hyperprolific sows is a lack of sufficient milk production, especially during the week prior to weaning, which can result in litters with high weight variability and low piglet weight.
Another common problem during weaning is that, due to stress and the change from liquid to solid feed, animals may stop eating during the first few days, causing intestinal dysbiosis and a reduction in the size of the intestinal villi. This problem is further exacerbated because the nutrient composition of milk is significantly different from that of a pre-starter diet. For example, the energy in milk comes from lactose and fat, whereas in feed it comes from cereal starches.
To solve the problem of low milk production in hyperprolific sows during the last week of lactation and improve adaptation to solid feed in the first week after weaning, we are pleased to announce that NutriBioGenics has completed the design of our first milk supplement for piglets with the combined characteristics of yogurt and sow’s milk. The product, called NBG YoguPig, is a highly palatable product that provides a source of energy and highly digestible protein that also provides nucleotides, emulating the contribution of sow’s milk.
NBG YoguPig also contains probiotics like yogurt, which, along with nucleotides, is key to maintaining piglets’ intestinal health.
